$7M Gone in One Night: Duelbits Is Offline and $6M Sits in a Single Wallet
Six million dollars is sitting in a single Ethereum address right now, and the crypto casino it was stolen from has gone completely dark.
Duelbits, one of the more prominent crypto gambling platforms in the space, was drained across four separate blockchains in a coordinated hot wallet attack. The total damage: roughly $7 million. The platform is currently offline, and users cannot access their funds.
What Actually Happened
Attackers targeted Duelbits' hot wallets, which are the internet-connected wallets platforms use for day-to-day transactions. Hot wallets are a known vulnerability in every exchange and gambling platform's security setup. They are convenient, which also makes them a consistent target.
The breach hit across four blockchains simultaneously, suggesting this was not an opportunistic smash-and-grab. This was coordinated. The attacker consolidated the majority of the haul into a single Ethereum address, where roughly $6 million currently remains, visible on-chain for anyone to track.
The remaining $1 million is likely spread across other chains or already moving through mixers.
Why This Should Make You Nervous
Duelbits is not a fringe platform. It has sponsorship deals, a recognizable brand, and a real user base. If their hot wallet security failed this completely, the question every user of any crypto platform should be asking is simple: what is actually protecting my funds right now?
The fact that the attacker has not yet moved the $6 million sitting in that Ethereum address is either a sign of confidence, a plan still in motion, or an attempt to wait out blockchain analytics teams before bridging or mixing. None of those options are good.
On-chain investigators and platforms like Chainalysis will be watching that address. But watching is not recovering.
What You Should Do Right Now
If you had funds on Duelbits, the platform being offline means you currently have no access and no timeline for recovery. Watch their official channels for any communication, but do not expect fast answers.
More broadly, this is a reminder that hot wallets held by any centralized platform carry real custodial risk. If you are holding meaningful balances on crypto casinos, exchanges, or any custodial platform, this is the event that should push you to reassess.
Watch: The $6M Ethereum address for any movement. The moment funds start bridging or hitting a mixer, it signals the attacker is making their exit and recovery becomes significantly harder.
The address is public. The clock is running.
