VanEck, one of the largest crypto asset managers on the planet, just confirmed that quantum computing is a real and recognized threat to Bitcoin's cryptographic foundation.

Matthew Sigel, VanEck's Head of Digital Assets Research, went on record saying the Bitcoin community is already working on solutions to the quantum problem. That's not a reassurance. That's a confirmation that the threat is serious enough to require one.

Why This Matters More Than Most People Realize

Quantum computing is not science fiction anymore. Google, IBM, and government-backed labs are racing toward machines powerful enough to crack elliptic curve cryptography, the same cryptography that secures every Bitcoin wallet on earth. When those machines arrive, wallets could become readable. Private keys could be derived from public keys. Bitcoin held in old, exposed addresses would be at risk.
