270% in One Week: This XRP Shell Company Just Traded at 4x Its Own Value
A thinly traded shell company with roughly $10.50 sitting in trust just printed 270% gains in a single week, and the only thing backing it is a pending merger with an XRP treasury company.
Armada Acquisition Corp. II, a SPAC with virtually no operating business, rocketed last week before its planned merger with Evernorth closes. At its peak, the stock was trading at nearly four times the actual cash value sitting inside its trust account. To put that plainly: traders were paying $40-something for a box that holds roughly $10.50. That gap is not a typo. It is a signal.
What Is Evernorth and Why Does It Matter?
Evernorth is positioning itself as an XRP treasury company, essentially following the Michael Saylor playbook but swapping Bitcoin for XRP. The model is straightforward: raise capital, hold XRP on the balance sheet, and give traditional investors regulated exposure to the asset without touching a crypto exchange.
The strategy has worked spectacularly for Bitcoin-focused treasury firms. MicroStrategy's stock transformed from a sleepy software company into one of the most-watched tickers on Wall Street. Investors are clearly betting Evernorth can replicate that arc with XRP.
Why the Premium Is So Extreme
SPACs normally trade at or just above trust value before a deal closes. A 4x premium is almost unheard of for a shell this small and this thinly traded. That kind of spread tells you one thing: there is aggressive speculative demand chasing very limited float.
When supply is thin and sentiment is hot, prices do irrational things. The XRP market has been running on optimism since Ripple's partial legal victories against the SEC, and investors hungry for regulated XRP exposure are not waiting around for alternatives.
This is also a SPAC, which means the underlying structure gives arbitrage traders and retail speculators very different risk profiles. Shareholders who entered at trust value have a floor. Speculators who chased the 270% move do not.
What Crypto Holders Should Watch
If the Evernorth merger closes smoothly, this becomes the first meaningful publicly traded XRP treasury vehicle for traditional investors. That matters for XRP price action because corporate treasury buying creates sustained, recurring demand pressure that spot traders rarely anticipate correctly.
Watch the merger timeline closely. Watch whether institutional names appear in the shareholder registry post-close. And watch XRP's response if Evernorth starts announcing treasury accumulation figures the way MicroStrategy does.
The speculative premium in Armada right now is extreme and carries real risk of violent compression. But the underlying thesis, regulated XRP treasury access for traditional capital, is not going away. That part of the story is just getting started.
